Materials

Choose the sheet, the fitting, and the coat for the room.

Kitchen water, shop traffic, and home handling ask for different combinations. We name material types, not supplier brands we have not confirmed on this site.

Carcass and structure

Furniture carcasses use sheet goods or solid timber sections, sometimes both. Sheet goods suit long kitchen and shop runs. Solid sections suit table rails, legs, and faces that will be touched often. The elevation states which parts are which.

Hardware

Hinges, runners, catches, and feet are chosen for load and for how often a door or drawer will move. We specify them on the cutting list. We do not claim a lifetime mechanism or an unnamed “commercial grade” badge.

Finish

Clear coats, oils, and paint systems are selected for moisture, cleaning, and light. A kitchen door and a hallway seat will not always share the same coat. Care advice, when given, will be written for that finish and sent with the piece, not as a general slogan here.

What we avoid claiming

This page does not state that materials are rare, certified by a named scheme, or sourced from a named forest, because those facts are not confirmed for this website.
